German versionThe hosting club Quo Vadis SDC Thüringen e.V. introduces itself

Originally created in 1987 as Country- and western club Green Mountains, eleven bold decided in 2001 on the establishment of another Square Dance club in Thuringia to practice mainly Square Dance from this time on.

Nomen est omen: the constantly present problem whether to go right or left, paired with general disorientation in the Square, admitted no other club name as "QUO VADIS" (should tell: where do you go?). The decision to give just this name to the club was unanimously and in knowledge of the facts mentioned above.

Clubbadge Quo Vadis

Our club mascot is the mole. By its relative blindness and its apparent disorientation enough common characteristics arise, that so far every club member could identify with him without any problems.

Our dance level including Round Dance goes in the meantime from Basic over Mainstream to Plus which is danced, nevertheless, better than the introduction above perhaps supposes.

We have grown in the meantime to 22 dancers. The club has its seat directly in the city Suhl since 2006 and is a member of the association "Landessportbund Thüringen".

Thuringia, particularly the Thuringian Forest with its diverse sight seeing attractions, is worth a journey already by itself. The "Rennsteig" (in the meantime incredibly tunnelled), Oberhof, Weimar – if one wanted to enumerate everything worth seeing several pages would be filled.

Last year we were asked by ECTA whether we were interested to help actively with this event and were won immediately and without exception for it. Already today, we are looking forward to numerous guests and beautiful as well as fun dancing with all our friends.

But caution: There are moles in the Square.
