50 Jahre European Callers and Teachers Association (ECTA)Dear Dancers,
We hope many of you have already noticed the flyer booklets for ECTA’s 50 Years Anniversary Dance, since ECTA would like to celebrate this anniversary with all of you.
We offer you a full weekend of Square and Round dancing, as well as Clogging and Contra dancing in extra halls on Saturday. Apart from our own members, we will also have well-known leaders on the program from the USA for all four dance forms.
Especially with the square dance program we would like to vary the approach from most of today’s special dances. ECTA decided to not separate dancers by different SD levels but to come back to what SD was 50 years ago. We would like to keep all square dancers together sharing one SD program everybody can dance. We believe that with an attractive Basic and Mainstream program, including special theme sessions, no one will miss not having higher level calls. This way, we will all stay together, enjoy square dancing with each other and have fun as one community.
To even further support this united feeling, the dancers of all the different dance forms will come together in joint session during the Friday and Saturday evening programs.
The clogging program is set up in the Easy-Intermediate to Intermediate level following the dance ability of the majority of cloggers in Europe.
Last, but not least, Contra naturally offers a chance for everyone to join the dance without too many prerequisites.
We will also offer Introductory sessions to all of the different dance forms. So if you ever wanted to try the first steps of RD or Clogging there is a good chance to do so. Further detailed information
During the day the round dance program offers a good mix of dance time and workshops in different phases. Especially the latter will allow all round dancers to enjoy the excellent teaches of our guest leaders.
Further detailed information can be found at our website will follow in the next issues of the Bulletin.
Come to Suhl in June 2009 and celebrate with us.
