Greetings from the ECTA President

Dear friends,

In 2009 ECTA can look back on more than fifty years of existence and we the ECTA leaders would like to celebrate this together with you, all our dancers for whom we are working and who support us in our efforts. Thus, we are looking forward to hold a celebrations dance in June 2009, following our annual ECTA Convention.

We would like to invite all dancers to the city of Suhl to share a weekend of fun with us at this celebration dance. Get in contact with us while participating in all the different dance forms supported by ECTA and let's exchange ideas on our common future.

We are happy to be able to offer a dance program staffed with the international coaches we invited for our education at the ECTA Convention, as well as with a number of our own members. We tried to combine an attractive mix including past board members, the international guest leaders and also some of our younger members. To make this a very special event we have set up a program offering all our supported dance forms. Hence, we will have an attractive full weekend Square Dance Program of Basic and Mainstream that allows all Square Dancers to stay together in the main hall and offers a striking Round Dance program, as well as Saturday Clogging and Contra & Traditional Dancing. Moreover, we would like to invite you, as well as all people living in and around Suhl, to experience all our dance forms at the offered introductions. On Friday and Saturday night we would like to come together for a shared program.

We are happy to be supported by the local club, the Quo Vadis SDC in Suhl as well as by the city administration - without their help an association like ECTA, having its members spread over Europe, would not have been able to offer such an event. Thus, mark the date in your calendar. Suhl is located very central in Germany and is a perfect starting point for some additional days off of work.

We are all looking forward to celebrate a weekend of fun together with YOU in Suhl,
